A three-generation family owned business that began in 1907 with the production of green coffee beans. As part of our mission to produce high quality products and to care for the environment, by the end of the twentieth century, we began to venture into the road that would lead us into Sustainable Agriculture and Specialty Coffees. And by the year 2002 we had already began exporting to different parts of the world under the brand name: Monte Sion.
Our coffee is from the Arabica-Bourbon variety, shade grown under a biodiversity friendly canopy in the “Cordillera de Apaneca” mountain range in the Western Region of El Salvador, recognized for producing fine coffees.
Our farms form part of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor, which provides refuge to many species of Neotropical Migrant birds that fly to the tropics to resist the cold weather.
Aware of the environmental degradation and social problems that our country faces, we have been committed to the preservation of the environment and of the welfare of our workers through a sustainable agriculture.
